In the memory of Smt. Padmaja, Mr. Prasad with guidance and support from Prof. R N Padmanabha, initiated an inter-college singing competition in 2000 at Maharaja’s college, Mysuru.

It continues to be funded by PPMF and 26th year celebrated on 2nd April’2025 and it has been one of the popular cultural events of University of Mysore.

The Music Competition categories was Bhavageethe, Janapada, Chalanachitra and also Samuhageethe.
